Cookie notice

What cookies AINSQ Academy sets, why, and how to control them.

This is a pre-launch draft written for the Phase 1 build. It has not been reviewed by a solicitor and should be checked before the site accepts real learner accounts.

Last updated: 8 October 2026

Essential cookies

These are required for the site to work and are set whenever you use it. We do not ask for consent for these, because the service cannot function without them.

  • Session cookie — keeps you signed in as you move between pages.
  • Learner state cookie — remembers which courses you are enrolled in and which lessons you have completed, so your progress survives a page reload.
  • Theme preference — remembers whether you chose light or dark mode.

Analytics

Phase 1 of the platform does not run analytics cookies. If we add analytics in a later phase, we will ask for your consent first and update this notice.

Third-party cookies from embedded video

Lesson videos are embedded from a third-party video platform. When you play a video, that platform may set its own cookies on your device, over which we have no control. If you would rather avoid them, do not play embedded videos; the written notes in each lesson cover the same ground.

Controlling cookies

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. If you block our essential cookies, you will not be able to stay signed in, and your progress will not be saved.

Signing out clears your session and learner state cookies.
